Gaming solutions giant Playtech has hired Andrew Smith as its new head of investor relations, replacing Adam Kay in the role.

Smith joins from banking software systems provider Temenos, where he served as head of investor relations and strategic projects.

Previously he served as a director of corporate broking for Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for managing day-to-day relationships with FTSE100 and FTSE250 clients including Tesco, Greene King and Unilever, as well as gambling businesses such as digital entertainment and Ladbrokes.

In his new role, he will take responsibility for the coordination and execution of Playtech’s global investor relations programmes, and will be the main point of contact for investors and equity analysts.

He replaces Adam Kay, who has left the company after just over two years to join online food delivery business Just Eat, where he has also taken on the investor relations role.
