Aristocrat Technologies, the US subsidiary of Australian gaming supplier Aristocrat Leisure, has appointed former Scientific Games executive Brooks Pierce as its new managing director for its Americas business.

Pierce has more than 20 years experience as an executive in the gaming sector, and will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of Aristocrat's Class III gaming machine business in the Americas, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

Most recently he has served as chief executive of private sales, marketing, and leadership development consultancy BHP Consulting Group.

Previously he worked in a number of senior roles for Scientific Games, including chief revenue officer for the company’s gaming division, as well as senior vice president of marketing and president of Scientific Games Racing.

He oversaw the commercial integration of the WMS business for the supplier, holding responsibility for games sales, gaming operations and gaming systems worldwide.

Aristocrat chief commercial officer Maureen Sweeny said she was thrilled to welcome Pierce to the supplier’s leadership team.

“His unique skill set and insights will be valuable to our Americas and global strategy of delivering a broad portfolio of great performing games and cabinets as well as exceptional service to our customers,” she said.

“This is an incredibly exciting era at Aristocrat, and I am privileged to be joining the company at such a time,” Pierce added.

Shares in Aristocrat Leisure Limited (Co. Data) (ASX:ALL) closed up 1.95 per cent at AUD$7.85 per share in Sydney earlier today.
