Sports broadcaster and data supplier Satellite Information Services (SIS) has appointed Nigel Stocks as its new chief financial officer to replace Jeremy Rudd, who has held the role on an interim basis since 2013.
Stocks joins from global health club business Jatomi Fitness, where he has spent the past four years. As group CFO he was based in Poland, working on new business and international expansion initiatives for the company, which is active in Eastern Europe and Asia.
For his new role with SIS he will return to the UK, working from its Milton Keynes headquarters.
SIS chief executive Gary Smith welcomed Stocks to the company, explaining that he was eager to see him build upon an “excellent track record of financial leadership.”
“Nigel’s experience in contributing to strategic change and international expansion will be critical to SIS over the next two years as we bring new products and services to market.
“With cost pressures bearing down on the industry we need to ensure SIS is in rude financial health in the coming months. I’m looking forward to the contribution Nigel will make to our business,” Smith explained.
Before joining Jatomi Fitness, Stocks held roles at the Casual Dining Group, the Laurel Pub Company and National Car Parks Limited.
“The decision to join SIS was an easy one,” he said of his new role. “They have great standing and experience in the industry and an exciting future with a product suite that suits the needs of the modern betting and gaming industry. It’s an exciting time to be at SIS and I can’t wait to get started.”
