Gaming and lottery supplier International Game Technology (IGT) has brought in industry veteran Ken Bossingham to head up the company’s slot machine division.

Bossingham joins IGT as senior vice president, Casino Core Product, where he will be responsible for the global management of IGT’s slot machine bsuiness.

This will include the supplier's Class II, Class III, video, and mechanical reels product lines, including market and competitive analysis, product requirements definition and marketing alignment to achieve IGT's business objectives.

He will report to Victor Duarte, IGT's global chief product officer for Gaming, and will be based in Las Vegas.

Bossingham most recently served as chief operating officer of American Gaming Systems, where he led the company's acquisition by Apollo Global Management, and its subsequent purchases of Colossal Gaming and Cadillac Jack.

He previously held senior executive positions at SPIELO International and ATRONIC, both former subsidiaries of GTECH, prior to the completion of its merger agreement with IGT.

Prior to ATRONIC and SPIELO, Bossingham served in sales leadership positions at Aristocrat Technologies and JCM Global, and was director of the Gaming Standards Association from 2006 to 2009.

Shares in International Game Technology plc (Co. Data) (NASDAQ:IGT) closed down 3.18 per cent at $16.44 per share in New York Tuesday.
