Swedish operator Betsson has confirmed the appointment of Pia Rosin as its new vice president of corporate communications.

Rosin joins from military defence and civil security hardware manufacturer Saab Defence and Security, where she has served as investor relations manager since May 2014, having joined the business as group communication manager in March 2013.

She has held a number of senior communications roles and has experience working in the industry for former poker network Entraction. She spent six years as director of corporate communications and new markets for the business between 2006 and 2012.

Betsson describes the appointment as a strategic move that will further strengthen its corporate management team, with Rosin taking on the new role from June 20th, handling investor relations and financial communications.

"Pia will be creating a responsive and shareholder-focused investor relations function," Betsson chief executive and president Ulrik Bengtsson commented. "She brings to the role a broad knowledge of our business from her time at Entraction as well as investor relations from her time at Saab.

"I am confident that she will quickly become an extremely valuable partner to our investor community," he added.

Shares in Betsson AB (Co.Data) (OMX:BETS-B) have declined 0.09 per cent to SEK111.70 per share in Stockholm this morning.
