Industry veteran Tony Plaskow has been hired by Black Cow Technology as the emerging iGaming software supplier's new commercial director.
In his new role Plaskow will be responsible for leading the software supplier's expansion as it seeks new partners for its Open Gaming Architecture (OGA) game server construction kit.
The OGA is a software platform that allows free development of games within a stable, regulation-compliant framework. It leaves game engine logic and client communication separate from the main platform, and can connect to multiple hosts through multiple wallet technologies.
It was founded in 2013 by Max Francis, who had previously spent 14 years working for OpenBet.
Plaskow has more than 15 years' experience in the online gaming industry, having entered the sector as founder and chief executive of odds comparison service EasyOdds in 1999.
He has also served as head of business development for St Minver, which was acquired by GTECH (now IGT); director of EMEA sales for International Game Technology; and senior director of sales for Bally Technologies.
In 2014 he launched his own consultancy business, working with companies including News UK, Colossus Bets, Gamblit Gaming and Link2Win.
"I am delighted to welcome an executive of Tony’s calibre to our company," Black Cow founder and CEO Max Francis said. "He brings a wealth of experience, and is very highly regarded across the industry.
"Tony will be key for Black Cow in driving our sales, business development and growth strategy. I consider this to be a strong acquisition for the business."
"I am thrilled to be joining Black Cow," Plaskow added. "I’ve known Max for a long time and I firmly believe he has created the best game server software software in the industry. It is a company with immense potential, and I am looking forward to putting my focus towards its development.
"Black Cow offers something completely different to anything else currently in the market. OGA provides the type of flexibility and efficiency other software cannot match.“
