London-listed mobile gaming provider Nektan has named Patrick Sinclair as its first permanent finance chief in over a year.

Sinclair assumes the role with immediate effect, replacing former CFO David Sparks who stepped down in December 2015 but agreed to remain with the company until a replacement was found.

The new CFO joins from international property and infrastructure business Sweett Group, which he joined as group financial controller in October 2012 before being promoted to finance chief in January 2014.

He qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2001 and has held senior finance positions with consulting business Penna HR and private car park operator National Car Parks.

It is expected that Sinclair will be appointed to Nektan’s board of directors in the near future.

Shares in Nektan plc (Co.Data) (AIM:NKTN) were trading down 5.09 per cent on the news at 27.05 pence per share in London early Monday.
