Wynn Resorts has appointed former Aristocrat chief digital officer and current NYX Gaming Group director Craig Billings as its new chief financial officer.

He replaces Stephen Cootey, who will be departing the company to pursue other interests, effective March 1st.

Wynn described Billings as a highly respected veteran of both the gaming and banking industries, and said that he brings extensive experience in business innovation to the company.

The operator also highlighted Billings' successful track record in digital innovation, mergers and acquisitions, and capital structure management.

Billings served at Aristocrat Leisure as chief digital officer and managing director of strategy and business development. Prior to that he served as CEO and president of ZEN Entertainment, which was later acquired by NYX Gaming Group, where Billings continues to serve as a director.

He was also an executive in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs, where he served numerous clients in the gaming industry.
