London-listed gaming operator Gaming Realms has appointed industry veteran Chris Bell to its board of directors.

The former Ladbrokes chief executive joins the board with immediate effect as a non-executive director.

"We are delighted that Chris has agreed to join the company," Gaming Realms chairman Michael Buckley said.

"He brings a wealth of experience of the gaming industry and extensive corporate knowledge which will help us to develop the company further. We welcome him and greatly look forward to working with him."

Bell served as chief executive of Ladbrokes between 2006 and 2010, and currently sits on the board of directors of Rank Group, TechFinancials and XL Media, among others.

Shares in Gaming Realms plc. (Co. Data) (LSE:GMR) were trading down 7.46 per cent at 7.75 pence per share in London early Wednesday, having closed Tuesday at 8.38 pence per share.
