The company we know today as Scientific Games has been an active participant in the wave of consolidation that has swept the gaming industry in recent years. That continues with a court in Guernsey set to rule today (Jan 5) on its proposed acquisition of NYX Gaming Group. Newly appointed managing director of SG's interactive B2B division, Leigh Nissim, speaks to Gaming Intelligence about what drew him to one of the industry’s leading suppliers.
Having served in senior roles at GTECH and IGT, Nissim was handed the reins of London-listed gaming solutions provider Nektan when he was named chief executive in July 2016. Then Scientific Games came calling.
Under Nissim’s leadership, Nektan switched from a white label operator to a gaming solutions and services provider, with the new direction helping to increase revenue by 130 per cent, but the opportunity to join Scientific Games proved impossible to resist.
