Spanish gaming supplier R.Franco has appointed Miguel Ángel Lázaro as managing director of its Digital division.

Lázaro replaces Alejandro Casanova, who has served in the role since August 2014. He will report directly to the supplier’s group vice president and executive director María José Gallardo.

Lázaro has worked for R.Franco for more than 18 years in a number of management positions within the group's technology division.

Most recently he served as senior new games producer for the Digital division, leading the design and development of slots, table games and instant games. Prior to that he served as online content manager for R.Franco's B2C iGaming brand Wanabet.
“His deep knowledge of the industry and his expertise within the company make him the right person to lead the group’s Digital division,” the company said in a statement.

Lázaro will succeed Casanova, who will step down as director later this month.
