Scientific Games’ SG Digital division has unveiled plans to significantly expand its technology and development hub in Stockholm.

The Stockholm office brings employees from across the division into a central location focusing on technical operations and gaming and platform development initiatives, with the supplier expecting to recruit an additional 50 staff to the Swedish capital during 2018.

This will include roles such as platform development, quality assurance and DevOps and TechOps, and follows similar expansion undertaken at the company’s London, Athens, Krakow and Montreal offices.

“Stockholm is a perfect addition to our expanded presence: it has a wealth of technology talent, massive growth opportunity, and a great community on which we can build a strong team,” said Doreena Ross, chief human resources officer for SG Digital. “We expect increased presence in many other global locations as we drive our products to lead the industry.”

Chris Armes, chief technology officer at SG Digital, added: “Our expanded presence in Stockholm will go a long way in supporting our growth initiatives in Europe. We have tremendous growth opportunity across our organization and this new center will fuel our success in the European market.

“Now is the perfect time to join the gaming and sports industry; the space is set for continued success and we look forward to years of strong performance from our teams there.”
