New York-listed lottery provider has confirmed the departure of its chief operating officer Lei Zheng with immediate effect.

The company said that Zheng has resigned as COO of the company due to personal reasons.

He has served in the role since 2009 and has 10 years of experience in the information technology industry.

Prior to joining he also worked at Shenzhen Youshou Digital, Tencent, and Huawei Technologies.

"I would like to thank Lei for his invaluable service and contribution to the company," said chairman of the board Yonghong Zhang.

The company has no plan to appoint a successor at this point in time.

Shares in Limited (NSQ:WBAI) closed up 2.04 per cent at HK$19.49 per share in New York Friday.
