New York-listed gaming and lottery supplier Scientific Games has strengthened its board of directors with the appointment of Kneeland Youngblood.

Youngblood is the founding partner and chairman of Texas-based private equity firm Pharos Capital Group, which invests in the healthcare and business services sectors.

He currently serves as director of Mallinckrodt and TPG Pace Holdings Corporation since June 2017, with previous directorships including Pace Holdings Corp, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, The Gap, and Burger Kings Holdings.

"We are pleased that the Board elected Kneeland as a new director," said Scientific Games chief executive Barry Cottle. "He brings valuable experience in business, operations and strategy to our team.

“We look forward to Kneeland's contributions as we continue to drive growth in our core business and take advantage of new opportunities to engage players and bring value to our customers."

His appointment expands the company's board from 14 to 15 members, with Youngblood also appointed to SG’s compensation committee and compliance committee.
