Racecourse Media Group (RMG) has strengthened its board of directors with three new appointments as it looks to work more closely with the betting and gaming industry.
Former Ladbrokes Coral CEO Jim Mullen and Kindred Group chief experience officer Britt Boeskov have been appointed as new independent non-executive directors, with The Stars Group’s Antonia Wright joining RMG as company secretary and legal director.
RMG, the umbrella organisation for 34 British racecourses, said that the appointments will enable the board to better understand the challenges faced by the gaming industry and provide strategic advice at a pivotal time for the horse racing sector.
“These new appointments will enhance the RMG board’s desire to work closer with the betting and gaming industry,” said RMG chairman Roger Lewis. “Jim, Britt and Antonia will provide RMG with a better understanding of this critically important driver of our business and will help us build stronger relationships across the industry.
“The RMG ambition is to add as much value as we can to our shareholder racecourses, working alongside our betting and gaming partners, and these appointments are a clear signal of our intent to do so.”
