Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak has appointed lawyer Rosa Solis-Rainey to the Nevada Gaming Commission.
Solis-Rainey is a managing partner at Las Vegas-based Morris Law Group and assumes the gaming commission seat vacated by Sandra Douglass Morgan in January, when she was appointed chair of the Gaming Control Board.
Solis-Rainey also has gaming industry experience from her 12 years in the corporate management team of Boyd Gaming, where she was responsible for internal audit and regulatory compliance, and a member of the board of directors’ audit and compliance committees.
“Rosa is a highly experienced litigator who has been involved in some of the state’s most complex legal issues over the past 18 years,” Governor Sisolak said. “I am confident she’ll make an outstanding addition to the Nevada Gaming Commission and support its mission of keeping Nevada the gold standard in gaming regulation.”
