New York-listed Scientific Games has brought in Steven Stamstad as senior vice president of marketing and communications.

Reporting directly to Scientific Games president and CEO Barry Cottle, Stamstad will be responsible for elevating Scientific Games' global profile and increasing engagement with the company's key stakeholders across gaming, lottery and sports.

Stamstad has more than 25 years of global marketing experience and joins the supplier from Expedia-owned vacation rentals marketplace, where he served as vice president of global brand marketing for the past four years.

Prior to joining in 2015, Stamstad served as vice president of worldwide marketing at Electronic Arts (EA) for seven years, and was vice president of marketing and creative for The Walt Disney Company for five years.

“Steve is a fantastic addition to our Scientific Games executive team,” said Cottle. “His years of global marketing expertise in the gaming, entertainment and sport sectors, coupled with his mobile and online experience will help us create a world-class global marketing team, drive revenue growth and take Scientific Games to the next level.”

Shares in Scientific Games Corporation (NSQ:SGMS) closed up 2.07 per cent at $23.13 per share in New York Tuesday.
