London-listed betting and gaming operator Paddy Power Betfair has appointed Carlsberg’s Nancy Cruickshank as an independent non-executive director.

Cruickshank has joined Paddy Power Betfair’s board following the company’s Annual General Meeting yesterday.

She currently serves as senior vice president at Danish brewer Carlsberg, where she leads the Digital Business Transformation programme and is a member of the Carlsberg Group executive team, a position she has held since 2018.

Cruickshank is also a non-executive director of OnMobile, an Indian-listed mobile entertainment provider, and Bango, an AIM-listed mobile internet payments company.

Prior to this, she worked in the digital industry for over twenty years holding several senior executive roles, including at Conde Nast, British Sky Broadcasting Group and Telegraph Media Group.

"We are delighted to welcome Nancy as a non-executive director," said Paddy Power Betfair chair Gary McGann. "She brings with her a wealth of digital and non-executive director expertise combined with her entrepreneurial spirit and will serve as a great addition to the board."

Shares in Paddy Power Betfair plc (LSE:PPB) were trading at 5,842.00 pence per share in London Thursday morning.
