London-listed games developer Gaming Realms has strengthened its board with the appointment of Ash Gaming founder Chris Ash as a non-executive director.

Ash joins the Gaming Realms board with immediate effect, bringing more than 18 years of gaming industry experience to the role.

Ash founded UK-based gaming content developer Ash Gaming in 2004, which was sold to Playtech in 2011 for £23m. While at Playtech, Ash served as head of open platform for more than three years, running the supplier’s content aggregation business with 25 partner studios and assisting with the company’s M&A strategy.

In 2016 he established London-based Ash Capital to advise software startups, and is also an investor advisor to Tel Aviv-based marketing jackpot platform BlueRibbon Software.

“We are delighted that Chris has agreed to join the company,” Gaming Realms chairman Michael Buckley said. “His significant experience in content development and global licensing closely aligns with our strategy to scale our licensing business. We welcome him and greatly look forward to working with him.”

Shares in Gaming Realms plc (LSE:GMR) were unchanged at 5.40 pence per share in London Thursday morning.
