New York-listed gaming supplier Everi Holdings has announced the appointment of industry veteran Atul Bali to its board of directors with immediate effect.

Bali brings a wealth of experience from the gaming sector, having previously spent 13 years at GTECH (now IGT) and currently serving as chairman of sports betting and online gaming operator Meridianbet.

He also served as CEO of XEN Group between 2010 and 2012, and divisional president and CEO at Aristocrat Technologies between 2012 and 2014. Bali is also an investor and advisor to the likes of Instant Win Gaming (IWG) and Gaming Realms.

Bali will also serve as a member of the company's Audit Committee, Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and Compensation Committee.

Shares in Everi Holdings Inc (NSQ:EVRI) closed up 3.54 per cent in New York Thursday at $12.00 per share, less than 5 per cent off their 52-week high of $12.56 per share set on July 12th.
