German online lottery brokerage businesses Lotto24 and Gwin have become the first operators to receive licences to broker state-run lotteries via the internet.
Online lottery brokerage has been banned in Germany for the past four years under the previous State Treaty on Gaming.
The introduction of the new State Treaty on July 1st of this year however allowed private companies to broker state-run lotteries in Germany once again.
