France: Amendment introduced to switch to GGR tax

Lawmakers in France have introduced an amendment to the National Assembly which seeks to replace the current turnover based tax structure for online gaming to one based on gross gaming revenues.

The amendment was submitted last week by MP Alain Cousin and proposes that the current 1.8 per cent turnover tax be replaced by a 4 per cent tax on gross gaming revenues.
