Third UK footballer charged in match-fixing investigation

A third UK footballer has been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into match-fixing, with the player alleged to be connected to an international illegal betting syndicate.

The UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) has charged Moses Swaibu, who most recently played for sixth tier club Whitehawk FC, with conspiracy to defraud. The player is now due to appear in court on January 21st.
