A Massachusetts resident has been sentenced to two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to money laundering and operating an illegal online sports betting business.
John Giannelli Sr, of Danvers, Massachusetts, was sentenced after pleading guilty last September in the U.S District Court for the District of New Hampshire to one count of money laundering, one count of operating an illegal gambling business, and five counts of impeding the administration of the Internal Revenue laws.
