The merger between Holland’s state lottery De Nederlandse Staatsloterij and the charitable lottery operator De Lotto has moved closer after the country’s Council of Ministers gave the two companies the green light to continue preparations for combining the businesses.
The Staatsloterij and De Lotto have reached an agreement in principle to merge in order to allow the companies to better compete in the soon-to-be-regulated Dutch online gaming market.
