The chairman of Pennsylvania’s House Gaming Oversight Committee has introduced new legislation to regulate online gambling, which he claims could generate more than $300m in ongoing revenue for the state.
House Bill 649, introduced by Democratic Representative John Payne, looks to amend Title 4 (Amusements) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to authorize online gaming, impose a tax on the industry and establish penalties for unlicensed operators.
