Holland’s association of slot machine operators VAN Speelautomaten Brancheorganisatie has criticised the country’s proposed gambling bill, describing the lower tax rate for online operators as a form of state aid.
With the draft bill now submitted to the European Commission (EC) for approval, the association has said that the commission will have to assess whether such aid is legal under the terms of European Union law.
