Australian Independent MP Andrew Wilkie has introduced a private members bill looking to reduce problem gambling on poker machines, which includes measures such as limiting bets to AUD$1 and caps on jackpots.
Wilkie’s bill, the Gambling Harm Reduction (Protecting Problem Gamblers and Other Measures) Bill 2014, is designed to produce a regulatory framework for poker machines and reduce harm to problem gamblers.
