Czech police charge 25 officials in match-fixing crackdown

An investigation into football-related corruption in the Czech Republic has concluded with authorities filing charges against a total of 25 individuals for offences that took place in 2013.

Detectives of the Unit for Combating Corruption and Financial Crime Investigation (ÚOKFK) have charged five individuals with bribery, with a further twenty charged with the offence of taking bribes. All of the accused are either football officials, club delegates or referees.
