Evolution Gaming launches first lottery style game Mega Ball

Stockholm-listed live dealer provider Evolution Gaming has expanded its range of game show style games with the launch of its new Mega Ball game.

First unveiled at ICE London earlier this year, Mega Ball combines elements of bingo, lottery and slots, and features two bonus rounds where players can win up to 1,000,000x their bet.

Using familiar bingo-style random bouncing ball mechanics, the game features a custom-built ball machine that houses 51 balls, of which 20 are randomly drawn one by-one in each game round. Players win if the numbers on their cards match the balls drawn. Up to 12 lines per card are available and the more lines players make, the more money they can win.

Central to the game’s theme is the drawing of a 21^st ball, the Mega Ball, which multiplies players’ bets by between 5x - 100x if they create a winning line with the Mega Ball number.

“With Mega Ball we wanted to create a game that has huge prizes, drama and excitement,” said Evolution Gaming chief product officer Todd Haushalter. “Bingo is a hugely popular game with lots of players and lotteries are loved the world over, so we decided to combine the two and also add a huge slot machine to create Mega Ball. I think players are going to love this game.”

Mega Ball joins titles such as Lightning Roulette, Deal or No Deal Live and Dream Catcher in Evolution’s growing Game Shows range of games.

Shares in Evolution Gaming Group AB (STO:EVO) were trading down marginally by 0.35 per cent at SEK453.40 per share in Stockholm earlier Monday.
