evoke – CEO
It has been a whirlwind 18 months for Per Widerström since taking the top job at evoke, tasked with improving trading in the short-term and transforming the group’s capabilities for the long-term. The turnaround of the business is beginning to bear fruit as revenue in Q3 2024 grew by 3 per cent to £417 million, the first quarter of year-on-year growth since Q1 2022. So far so good, but there is a long way to go, and questions remain over the William Hill retail business. Per has streamlined the operator’s management structure to make himself more visible and reachable. It doesn’t get any easier, and there will be tough landscapes to navigate, but Per is up for the task.
