The studio draws on American culture and an iconic slot character for its first release
24Karot Games, the latest studio to join Yggdrasil’s YGG Champions initiative, has launched its debut title, Buffalo Horizon, introducing players to its signature blend of familiar themes, simple gameplay and non-stop fun.
Developed with Yggdrasil’s support, Buffalo Horizon takes players across desert landscapes inspired by America’s national parks, with the mighty buffalo, a long-standing favorite in land-based slots, taking center stage.
Above the game’s 5×3 reels sits a 3×1 Rooftop Slot, where Ranger Symbols, Expanding Wilds, Rooftop Free Spin Symbols and Blank Symbols appear. This mini slot adds another layer of action, with opportunities to activate different Free Spin modes.
Landing a Wild in the Rooftop Slot triggers the Expanding Wild feature, turning an entire reel section Wild and creating more opportunities to form winning combinations.
Players can unlock Free Spins in two ways: by landing three Rooftop Free Spin Symbols in the Rooftop Slot or three Free Spins symbols anywhere.
Sharing the spotlight with the buffalo is the national park ranger. Landing three Ranger Symbols in the Rooftop Slot awards three Ranger Spins and reveals a regular symbol that expands to 3×3, remaining fixed on the center reels throughout the Ranger Spins session.
Behind the bunny-inspired studio is a team with a clear ambition: to create games that are easy to recognize, easy to play and packed with personality. Buffalo Horizon sets the tone for what players can expect from 24Karot Games.
The 24Karot team commented: “What we like about buffalo-themed slots is that they are easy to love, they give you that Wild West nostalgic feel we see in the movies, the John Ford ones and more. Our goal as a studio is to take these concepts, play around and deliver light-hearted fun anyone could engage with – that’s what we’ve brought to Buffalo Horizon.”
Buffalo Horizon is available now to operators via Yggdrasil Champions.
