Playtech has signed its biggest ever branded content deal to license and develop an extensive catalogue of iconic DC-branded film and television properties including the recent Batman movies, Suicide Squad and the studio’s upcoming action adventure Justice League.

The exclusive multi-year agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, will see the supplier develop a series of DC-branded slot, bingo and roulette games, available across multiple channels and devices.

A year ago, Playtech signed its first multi-year DC-branded licensing deal with Warner Bros to develop five DC-branded film and television franchises which have become some of the most popular products within Playtech’s portfolio of more than 600 games.

“This is a hugely significant deal for Playtech and we’re delighted to have a wider-reaching exclusive DC film- and TV-branded content licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products,” said Playtech CEO Mor Weizer. “We’ve had phenomenal feedback from our licensees based on the high-quality and calibre of the DC-branded games we rolled out in 2016.

“Today’s agreement takes this launch strategy to the next level by allowing Playtech to expand its robust offering with an array of new games branded to blockbuster DC film titles. In addition, these new titles will contribute to the growth of the prize level of the DC Super Heroes Jackpot.

“This partnership is a testament to our innovative and forward-looking global casino teams and we’re thrilled to work with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to deliver even more cutting-edge, best-performing DC-branded games,” added Weizer.

The omni-channel games will be based on Warner Bros’ recent films including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Suicide Squad and the upcoming Justice League.

Following last year’s tie up with Warner Bros, Playtech said that it will also bring DC-branded games content to retail terminals in the UK, Italy, Finland, Norway and the newly regulated Romanian market.

These terminal slot games include DC’s 1960’s Batman Classic TV Series, and the Warner Bros films Man of Steel (2013), Green Lantern (2011), Superman (1978) and Superman II (1980). Each game will be linked to the DC Super Heroes Progressive Jackpot with a series of tiered jackpots also available to players, as well as a wide range of prizes across a variety of win levels.

The first slots launched feature iconic characters and moments from the fan-favourite Batman Classic TV Series, with games including Batman & The Joker Jewels, Batman & Catwoman Cash, Batman & The Penguin Prize, Batman & The Batgirl Bonanza, Batman & The Riddler Riches, and Batman & Mr. Freeze Fortune.
