The Dutch Media Authority (CVDM) has confirmed its decision to fine television broadcaster TROS for unlawfully promoting gambling, following a year long investigation.
The case relates to a May 2010 broadcast by TROS entitled "De Lotto Sport Awards". In that program, TROS repeatedly featured the logo of state lottery operator De Lotto and used the company name in the program title.
