Yggdrasil has launched Game in a Box, a new platform that streamlines the creative process for delivering online slot games.

Game in a Box enables suppliers to accelerate their content pipelines by shortening development cycles from months to weeks by removing production bottlenecks through integrated tools and advanced automation.

“When I first asked our mathematicians how we could do this, they all said it was impossible,” said Yggdrasil managing director and chief technology officer Alex Haywood. “So we brought in a team of exceptional engineers, PhDs in mathematics, and automation experts, and approached the problem with fresh eyes and cutting-edge technology.

“We started from scratch and completely reimagined how slots can be created. At its core, this was about fixing the creative process to help creators create.”

Yggdrasil is currently validating the platform internally on its own titles, with November release Raptor 2 set to be the first game built entirely using Game in a Box, followed by three new slot games.

“This is the most disruptive innovation in slot building in iGaming; maybe ever,” said Yggdrasil CEO James Curwen. “It fundamentally changes how games are conceived, built, and brought to market.”

Yggdrasil is also in discussions with AWS to distribute Game in a Box through the cloud for its YGG Masters partner studios.
