Former Tatts Group and Tabcorp chairman set to retire after the company’s AGM in October
The Lottery Corporation has confirmed that Harry Boon will be retiring as a non-executive director in October.
Boon has served on The Lottery Corporation Board since the company’s ASX listing in June 2022 and is currently chair of the People and Renumeration Committee.
He will retire at the conclusion of the company’s 2026 Annual General Meeting, to be held on 14 October.
Boon joined the Tatts Group Board as a non-executive director in May 2005 and served as its chairman from 2007 until the Tabcorp-Tatts Group combination in December 2017.
The Lottery Corporation was subsequently spun off by Tabcorp in May 2021.
“On behalf of the Board, I thank Harry for his significant contribution to The Lottery Corporation and previously associated lotteries businesses,” said The Lottery Corporation chairman Dr Doug McTaggart. “Harry’s experience and judgement have been highly valued, including through the establishment and evolution of The Lottery Corporation as a standalone ASX-listed company. We wish Harry all the best for the future.”
Independent non-executive director, Tim Poole, will succeed Boon as chair of the People and Remuneration Committee on his retirement.
The Board said that it is undertaking an orderly succession process, with a focus on maintaining the right mix of skills and experience to support the company’s refreshed strategy and long-term success.
Shares in The Lottery Corporation Ltd (ASX:TLC) closed 2.12 per cent lower at A$5.09 per share in Sydney earlier Monday.
