I think I’m just about in time to wish you all a Happy New Year. And what a new year it has been already. Well, Denmark’s kicked off, even if Spain hasn’t. But the real excitement has been stateside following the US Department of Justice’s December 23rd memo, which more or less gave US states the all-clear to legislate any form of online gambling bar sports betting.


But then New Jersey follows that up with concrete plans to challenge the  the 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA). It has done this before of course, but basically the judge told them to go away, get a referendum and then come see him again. Well, they did that bit. Now they’re going back to court. And they’re pretty sure they will win.
