Northstar New Jersey Lottery Group, a joint venture involving GTECH, Scientific Games and the administrator of the Ontario Municipal Employees, has signed a fifteen-year agreement to provide marketing, sales and other services to the New Jersey Lottery.

The confirmation of the deal follows a notice of intent to award the contract by the NJ Treasury Department in April, and comes despite strong opposition from lawmakers who had passed a bill to prohibit the privatisation of the NJ Lottery without the prior approval of the state legislature.
