NYX Gaming-owned platform and content provider OpenBet has agreed a deal to enhance its reporting capabilities with data analytics specialist Featurespace.

The agreement will see Featurespace’s ARIC engine implemented into OpenBet’s activity feeds, providing the sports betting supplier’s clients with real-time access to player data.

The partnership has been designed to boost customer understanding, identify problem gamblers and reduce the potential for online fraud for the betting software provider.

Through machine learning and Bayesian maths, Featurespace developed the ARIC Engine (Adaptive, Real-time, Individual, Change Identification) which it claims continuously responds to new customer data in real-time and identifies changes in patterns of behaviour.

The technology will allow OpenBet to spot when users demonstrate unusual behaviour and then intervene through direct, targeted communications to promote healthy play.

“We chose Featurespace because they offer the most advanced solution on the market,” said OpenBet CEO Jeremy Thompson-Hill. “We’re always looking for the very best technology capability for our customers.

“Working with Featurespace accelerates the delivery of our next generation, real-time player management platform.”

Featurespace CEO Martina King added: “We are proud to be partnering with OpenBet to deliver our ARIC engine and machine-learning products, which give operators a leading market edge.”

Featurespace already works with the likes of UK National Lottery operator Camelot, William Hill and Betfair.
