Fortuna Entertainment Group, the Prague and Warsaw-listed land-based and online gaming operator, is aiming to ensure it continues to dominate the Central and Eastern European gaming markets through a new collaboration with Playtech.
The solutions giant is to provide Fortuna with a multi-channel betting and gaming platform, allowing it to accelerate the implementation of its growth strategy with a customisable and scalable solution for sports betting and gaming.
This also includes seamless wallet technology and customer relationship management tools, allowing customers to gamble across all channels and verticals, and giving the operator the means to retain players.
The agreement, announced alongside Playtech's first half results, sees the two companies expand their existing relationship to cover Fortuna’s key Czech, Polish and Slovakian markets, with scope to move into new territories as and when they are regulated.
Playtech has already supplied software for Fortuna’s launch in the newly-regulated Romanian market.
“Having so successfully launched the Fortuna brand in Romania, Playtech is delighted to be announcing the partnership with the Fortuna Entertainment Group with respect to Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia as well as future potential new regulated markets,” Playtech chief executive Mor Weizer said.
“Fortuna is the leading regulated multi-channel and -product operator in Central and Eastern Europe and we are looking forward to working with the team to take Fortuna’s growth to the next level,” he added.
Fortuna chief executive Per Widerström said that the deal would help his company achieve its ambition of becoming the leading regulated multi-channel and multi-product operator in Central and Eastern Europe.
“The Playtech platform, being customised for Fortuna’s needs, will enable us to offer a market leading scalable multi-channel, product and jurisdiction offering,” he explained. “Partnering with Playtech, will also help us when it comes to further potential territorial and product expansion.”
