The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) continues to see growth in the gaming sector, with the regulator issuing a total of 26 licences during the first quarter of 2017, bringing the total issued to date to 543 licences.

The MGA received 44 remote gaming licence applications during the period, double the amount received a year ago. It also issued more licences in Q1 2017 than it did last year with 26 awarded, up from 14 in the comparable period.
