Maryland-based wagering solutions provider AmTote International is set to provide a comprehensive sports betting solution to customers in the United States through a partnership with sports data and technology supplier Sportradar.

This will see Sportradar's Managed Trading Services (MTS) solution integrated with AmTote's Spectrum pari-mutuel wagering platform, creating a product that provides event and risk management capabilities and supports pre-match and in-play betting.

As a result, AmTote and its existing US customers will be able to quickly roll out sports betting where regulation permits, using existing infrastructure. It will leverage AmTote wagering terminals, online and mobile pari-mutuel platforms and all related support services.

The solution will be made available to AmTote's pari-mutuel client base, comprising racetracks in a number of US states. The supplier's parent company, racing and gaming operator The Stronach Group, will also use the solution to launch a fixed-odds offering under its advance deposit wagering brand Xpressbet.

AmTote currently processes over U$8bn in pari-mutuel wagers in the US through Spectrum each year, and around $5bn from international customers already using the platform's fixed-odds capabilities.

"We have long looked forward to the day that we could fully leverage our Spectrum wagering platform for our traditional customer market in the US, combining its extensive fixed-odds sports betting capabilities with our pari-mutuel products," AmTote president Keith Johnson.

"The addition of Sportradar to our solution provides a truly best-in-class turnkey product that will allow AmTote's US customers to implement sports betting in a manner that integrates seamlessly into their existing infrastructure and operations."

Sportradar vice president of sales Neale Deeley added: "We are extremely pleased to be supporting AmTote's sports betting platform with our MTS services. Our teams have been working closely together over the last few months and we look forward to helping AmTote customers to make the most of the sports betting opportunity across the US."
