Swedish software developer Target Aid is entering the Swedish lottery betting market with the proposed acquisition of Polar Group Technologies’ PolarLotto.
Target Aid will acquire all of the shares in Polar Group and its subsidiaries, which together hold two B2B and two B2C licences for commercial gaming in Sweden, for SEK140 million (approx. €13.1 million).
Following completion, Target Aid intends to change its name to ImpactWin Group.
“We are very pleased to take this step together with Polar Group,” said Target Aid chairman Jonas Granat. “Through ImpactWin Group, we are creating a joint platform to develop modern, digital solutions for sports clubs, NGOs and our partners.”
Polar Group CEO & head of partnerships Johan Sundberg commented: “By combining Target Aid’s fundraising platform with Polar Group’s licensed operations, we are building a unique ecosystem where regulated gaming, payments and impact go hand in hand. This creates completely new opportunities for clubs and NGOs to finance their activities in a sustainable way.”
Polar Group strengthened its position in the Swedish lottery betting market with the acquisition of More Tech Group’s LottoExperten in December 2024.
