Playtech is looking to raise £250m through the placing of shares in the company, with proceeds to be used to fund future acquisitions including Plus500 and, potentially, a midsize B2C broker over which TradeFX has an option to purchase.

The equity raise will see Playtech place up to 29,050,000 of the company’s ordinary shares, with the price per placing share to be determined through an accelerated bookbuild. The placing represents 9.9 per cent of Playtech’s current issued share capital.
