The loss of two customers from its Racing and Digital business, adverse weather conditions affecting race schedules and the decline of the Football Pools saw London-listed operator Sportech post a 3 per cent year-on-year decline in revenue for the first half of 2015.

Sportech, which is the target of a takeover offer by Toronto-listed gaming operator Contagious Gaming, saw first half revenue fall to £51m from £52.6m a year ago, with earnings before interest, tax depreciation and amortisation down 8.3 per cent to £11m. On a constant currency basis the decline would have been sharper, with revenue down 6.1 per cent and EBITDA falling 10.6.
