Spanish gaming operator CIRSA has reported a 1.5 per cent increase in net operating revenue for the first quarter of 2016, with strong performance in its Spanish and Latin American operations driving an 8.5 per cent increase in quarterly EBITDA.

Net operating revenue grew from €383.1m to €388.7m, driven by strong performances across the key slots, bingo and casino verticals in its native Spanish market. Growth was aided further by what CIRSA described as the “positive underlying performance” of its Latin American business, despite the depreciation of the Argentinean, Colombian and Mexican Pesos against the Euro.
