London-listed betting and gaming operator Paddy Power Betfair has reported a 17 per cent increase in revenue to £478m for the first quarter of 2019, driven by strong performances from its Australian and US businesses.

Total sports revenue increased by 15 per cent to £366m in Q1, driven by the growth of the Sportsbet and FanDuel brands, while Gaming revenue rose 26 per cent to £113m, primarily due to growth in Europe and the US and the acquisition of Adjarabet at the beginning of February.
