The UK’s betting and gaming industry is set to benefit from
new measures announced Friday by the government to protect workers and
businesses during the COVID-19 shutdown.
The support package will see government cover up to 80 per
cent of staff wages for a three-month period starting 1 March, up to a cap of
£2,500 per month, alongside deferment of the quarter’s value-added tax (VAT) payments
to the end of the year.
