Colombia’s regulated gambling market generated total stakes
of COP667.8bn (€175.8m) in 2019 following continued growth in the online betting
and gaming sector.
Total gambling stakes from licensed operators increased by
16 per cent compared to the previous year, with land-based casinos and bingo
halls contributing 57 per cent of the total at COP382.2bn, up 11 per cent
year-on-year.
By the end of 2019, there were 2,752 gambling
establishments in operation across the country, operating a total of 88,546
