The German Sports Betting Association (DSWV) has again called on federal authorities to complete the process of issuing Germany's 20 sports betting licences, warning that continued delays are hindering consumer protection efforts and aiding black market operators.

DSWV president Mathias Dahms said that it was with growing concern that his association and its members had seen a number of black market companies gain traction in Germany, but added that this was a logical consequence of the chaotic licensing process.
